Research

Stephanie Azri has been researching the topic of fetal diagnosis and its impact on families since 2002, the year her own daughter passed away from Potter's Syndrome.

Her research assisted her in writing "High Risk Pregnancy and Foetal Diagnosis; your journey" and to provide better services for families going through this trauma.

Stephanie is currently enrolled in a Higher Research Degree from the school of Social Work at Griffith University. The study will involve a couple of surveys and an optional phone interview.  Her thesis "Prenatal diagnosis and psychosocial support; A study on the effects of psycho-social support on women's well being after a prenatal diagnosis"  is currently in the stages of data collection.

PLEASE NOTE!

Australian women who have received a prenatal diagnosis, at any stage and regardless of whether they terminated the pregnancy or carried to term, are invited to participate in a research study looking at the effects of counselling, support groups, social networks etc... on women's wellbeing after receiving a prenatal diagnosis.
